Who we are
Hello! My name is Katie! The owner and operator of N-L-U Petsitting LLC. With over ten years of experience in the pet care industry, complemented by an additional eight years in emergency veterinary care as a veterinary assistant, my passion for animals has been a constant in my life. Initially, I aspired to become a veterinarian; however, during college, I discovered that traditional schooling was not the right path for me. I realized that veterinarians often engage in only a fraction of the exciting work, while it is the veterinary technicians who truly handle much of the essential tasks. Consequently, I shifted my focus to the daycare sector of pet care, and since 2018, I have committed myself to the daycare and boarding aspects of the industry.
Outside of my professional life, I am a proud dog owner of two: a five-year-old Border Collie affectionately named Crackson (Jackson) and her older sister, Cheyenne, who is eleven years old. I have had Cheyenne since I was 18, and she has been my steadfast companion through various life changes, including the introduction of her sister, Jackson. Together, we have navigated college, multiple relocations, inculding a year-long residence in St. George, Utah, which remains one of the most cherished experiences of our lives. Although I miss Utah frequently, I am indefinitely settled back in Colorado.
As your dedicated dog-sitter, my primary goal is to ensure that your pups receive exceptional care. I aim to provide you with the peace of mind that traditional boarding facilities cannot offer, through personalized attention, regular updates via text or email, photos, and routine medical checks.
Recognizing that dogs experience less stress in their familiar environments, I prefer to care for them in your home. However, I also offer the option of having your pup(s) stay at my home, alongside Cheyenne and Jackson. Prior to any stay, I require a few meet-and-greets with you and your pets to foster familiarity and comfort.
Additionally, I incorporate outdoor adventures and activities into your dog’s experience with me. I enjoy paddle boarding, hiking, and exploring various locations at least once a week, and I love to include my furry companions, depending on the preferences of the pet parents and the suitability of the outing. This exposure to new experiences not only enriches your dog’s life but also provides you with cherished photographs to treasure.
I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends, and I am eager to provide you with peace of mind while you enjoy your vacation!
